No one too young or too old!
Champagne Castle Adventure Centre is nestled in the Central Drakensberg at the foot of the famous Champagne Castle and Cathkin Peak, a World Heritage Site. Steep terrain, mountain streams, forests and an average of 300 good weather days a year, sets the scene for you to discover an unforgettable adventure. This is a true one-stop adventure destination.
As our slogan “no one too old or too young” suggests, we strive to cater for the whole family. Our youngest clients are 2 years old and the oldest …are grannies and grandpa’s. This, however, does not mean that the adventures here are all for the older folk and small kids – No! Activities range from mild – wild so there is something for everyone to do. Adventure activities include the following: Abseiling, Kloofing, Kayaking, Canoeing, White Water Tubing, Zip line course, King Swing, Paintball, Adventures suitable for toddlers and pre-schoolers and Mountain Biking (no rentals just world class tracks).

About the people:
Champagne Castle Adventure Centre was started in 2006 by couple Jakes and Cornelia Saaiman and Glenn Tungay. Jakes has worked as an adventure guide in Switzerland, Namibia, Uganda and throughout South Africa prior to settling down with his wife Cornelia to start the adventure centre. Cornelia completed her BA (Tourism and Geography) degree at Potchefstroom and taught for six years abroad and in SA. We chose this magnificent spot, the Central Drakensberg as our base due to the endless adventure possibilities and hope this area will soon become known as an adventure destination for the traveller.
We are backed by a great team of experienced and friendly guides!
Location:
The Adventure Centre is based on a 1000 acres, Dragon Peaks Mountain Resort. We are located on the R600 via Winterton next to the world famous Drakensberg Boys’ Choir.
